Broke while trying to land
"Broke while trying to land a fish on 2nd cast. Tried to reach out to company to replace but no response. Prior rods from this company have been great. Did not expect this or lack of customer service."

Everything You Need to Fish — Right Out of the Tube.
The Sawtooth rod: The Sawtooth is one of our best all around rod models. It is 12 ft. in length and collapses down to 23.5 inches and has a medium action to it. It is probably the rod we recommend the most for people just starting out and if you have room to cast! If your primary fishing areas have more overhang branches and obstacles then you might want to go with a smaller rod like the Sierra. We love the Sawtooth because it can handle bigger fish (we have caught 15+ pound Salmon in Alaska on this rod!) but has a soft enough action that you will still have fun catching 6 inch trout. Our tenkara rods are ultra light weight and the swivel tips included on our tenkara rods also help keep your line from getting tangled. This rod is finished with a maroon and burnt orange colorway.
Tenkara is fly fishing stripped down to the essentials. Just a rod, line, and fly. It’s lightweight, quick to learn, and built for wherever adventure takes you.
Less setup, more fishing.
Slow down, get outside, and rediscover the joy of simple fishing.
From in your pack to first cast in under 30 seconds.
Short learning curve. Everyone from kids to experts pick it up quickly.
Everything you need to fish for under $200. Rod, line, flies, line holder, and tippet.
The Sierra packs down to under 20 inches and weighs under 3 ounces.

Short answer: probably, yes. The Sawtooth is one of our "Allwater" models. Meaning that it is great for most fishing situations. At 12 ft. it can be a little long for some spots (so if you are fishing tight spaces look at either the Sierra, or Backpackr instead). But if you have an opportunity to fish open water the Sawtooth gives you an authentic Tenkara feeling.
