THE SIERRA ROD

The Sierra Rod is our 10.5 ft. rod. It has an incredibly soft flex and amazing feel to it. We designed it with smaller water in mind. When casting is tight and you need something small and agile, this is the rod. The Sierra is one of our funnest rods because of how light and flexible it is. The rod comes with a 10.5 ft. line which really allows you to keep the rod tip high and your line off the water for precise presentations. And the action of this rod gives you so much feel throughout the entire rod. You have to see it for yourself to believe how much fun it is.

Short answer: probably, yes. If you fish creeks or small-to-medium streams and want less rigging and more casting, the Sierra was built for you. "Took my new Sierra rod out for a hike in the Eastern Sierra for some small lake fishing. The wind was not super helpful, but I did get a chance to get some casting practice in and get a feel for this new technique. The starter kit was super helpful getting the rod setup. I recommend following the opening and closing instructions EXACTLY as prescribed. I got jammed up putting things away in a hurry but was able to clear it through the butt end. Can't wait to go again. Everything feels well made and so ready to travel!"

"I’ve been using the Sierra rod for a couple of months and so far it’s been great. The rod packs down small and everything I need to catch fish fits right in the included mini pack. It couldn’t be easier to throw in the truck or a pack just in case. I brought it camping a few weeks ago and was catching wild rainbows right beside our campsite. I’ve loved getting the kids on it too. Overall I couldn’t be happier. Thanks! Note: I coated the included line in floatant paste for fishing dries and bought a second sink tip line for fishing nymphs and wet flies. This works well."

Is there really a lifetime warranty?

Yes. Accidents happen. But its really easy to replace a broken section on your rod with a new section.

How hard is it to learn Tenkara?

First timers can pick up the basics of casting on their first session.

Can I return it if it's not for me?

If you have an unused rod that you would like to return we do accept returns. Although we are pretty confident that if you go out to your local pond or river you will have a blast.
