Short answer: probably, yes. If you fish creeks or small-to-medium streams and want less rigging and more casting, the Sierra was built for you. At 10.5 ft and about 2.8 oz, it collapses to ~20″ and delivers forgiving, accurate casts in tight cover. its one of our most popular rods for good reason, its fun!

"Super fun to use and I love the simplicity. I am able to catch a lot of fish!"
"Nice package, the rod feels amazing, beautiful play when swinging it, nice build. The Lilian is a decent length for wear. I really like the cork handle too. The flies that came with the accessories are actually pretty nice."
"Great quality product. Fun to use"
"Awesome rod, super versatile. Great casting rod. I'm not artist with casting a tenkara rod and this is super easy to cast and do accurate placements. Tons of fun catching fish on this thing."
", Quality product can’t wait to use it"
"Unfortunately got this rod in the middle of winter here. Fighting cold snd snowy weather for fishing and I'm no youngster anymore. However have bought plenty of extras from site and got my mini pack organized and ready to go. The Sierra looks like a quality rod and all the trimmings appear to be top notch as well. Waiting for a break in the weather or spring to put it all to good use. Thanks for the great products."
"Great product"
"I’ll be using this quite a bit!"
"Great quality for the price. Great warranty. Action is commendable but to be real specific one would have to pay more. It still catches fish as much as an any other rod that is more expensive. These rods are definitely not compromises. Used in action o. The Kern River and Tule River in CA."
"I tried to get Tenkara Rod Co to warranty a broken rod section because they say there is a lifetime warranty. They basically told me "OK, We'll make it right whenever we get around to it. We don't know when that will be though. " So I bought another rod just to use till then. Tenkara fishing is sort of a novelty to fish with on small creeks around camp I think. Nothing special, and I'm sure there's better/ more sensitive tenkara rods out there. Maybe even with better warranty service if someone wanted to take the time to search one out. Good luck."
Yes. Accidents happen. But its really easy to replace a broken section on your rod with a new section.
First timers can pick up the basics of casting on their first session.
If you have an unused rod that you would like to return we do accept returns. Although we are pretty confident that if you go out to your local pond or river you will have a blast.
Every rod includes everything you need to fish. The rod, rod sock and rod tube. As well as a line, 12 flies, a spool of tippet, and a line holder.
