Tenkara is a fishing sport that uses lightweight telescoping rods, a line, and a fly. It is a very simple and accessible way to fish. We currently carry two kinds of rods. If this is your first time being introduced to Tenkara and you are having deciding on a rod, go with the Teton. It is a 12 foot rod with a great 6:4 flex ratio. Trout the world over will fear you. If you have fished Tenkara before and are looking for something a little more playful, then the Sawtooth might be your rod of choice. A 5:5 flex ratio gives a little more and allows for different casting a funner catch. And as always, if you have a question or dilemma, just shoot us an email and we will help you out!
